Within 36 hours of .tel being made available through General Availability, the 100,000th .tel domain name was registered.

ICANN – New gTLDs and Trademark Issues: Implementation Recommendation Team (IRT)

The IRT has been formed to provide possible solutions to trademark issues raised in the new Generic Top-Level Domain (New gTLDs) implementation planning.

Last year, ICANN created travel procedures to clarify which members of the ICANN community were to receive travel support for that fiscal year (2009). At the same time, it was announced that they would be reviewed after the first year of use.

of last week, selling for €160,000 (US$200,000) reports Domain Name
Journal. The next four top sellers for the week were all .com sales,
although none broke six figures. Claim.com was second, selling for
$80,000 and RodeoDrive.com third selling for $60,000.
